The Pattern History
The Design: "Grande Baroque" was introduced by Wallace in 1941 and was designed by William S. Warren. It was meticulously designed to reflect the opulence and grandeur of the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
The Aesthetic: It is considered a true "three-dimensional" pattern. Unlike standard flatware that is only decorated on the top side, Grande Baroque is fully cast with heavy, ornate floral and scroll motifs that wrap entirely around the handle. It remains one of the best-selling sterling silver flatware patterns in American history.
