Presenting a remarkably well-preserved, solid cast iron desktop bust of the legendary Prussian General feld marschall Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher, Fürst von Wahlstatt (1742–1819). This exceptional piece was cast in the early 19th century after the German sculptor, Christian Daniel Rauch (1777–1857).

Imperial Provenance & The Bad Homburg Connection
This specific design holds profound historical prestige. An identical, slightly smaller (13.5 cm) variant of this exact Rauch model was chosen by Kaiser Wilhelm II to adorn his personal writing desk in the Imperial Apartments at Schloss Bad Homburg, where it remains on display today. Honest Worn Condition & Original Assembly
This is a heavy, solid two-part casting. It retains its authentic, handcrafted 19th-century square nut on the underside of the base—an absolute hallmark of early period assembly that guarantees its age and authenticity.
The cast iron features a deep, rich, and original dark patina there is slight rubbing and minor loss to the surface which is completely common given it's age of 180 years . 
It has never been painted over and was recently gently conserved with high-quality, acid-free antique oil to nourish the iron and protect its magnificent schwarz gebrannt finish. The intricate details of Blücher's renowned mustache, brow, and the classical bare-chested "antique style" cut are brilliantly sharp.
